Tattoo design
A personal commission from a friend, she wanted a design that would translate well into a tattoo. The final design here shows fluttering pages of a book turning into birds taking flight.

Wedding program illustration
I was recently asked to do a small illustration for the front page of a wedding program, showing two rings and banner containing a quote from a text message exchange early on in their relationship.

New butterfly vest on The Rise & Fall
My butterfly illustration from last year can now be seen on vest on The Rise & Fall website. Really liking the look of it on clothing - you can check it out here
Elephant pillow featured on Primrose Mag
I was so excited a couple of months ago when Primrose Mag, based in the US, contacted me via Instagram about a post they had done about my elephant pillow, which they had discovered on The Rise & Fall website. How flattering to be featured! Their website is really beautiful and great for creative inspiration. You can see the post here - http://primrosemag.com/blog/draft/2013/4/2
Cat illustration vest
Still seeing my illustrations on new products, this time it's my cat illustration applied to a vest. It can be seen on The Rise & Fall website here

Feather Repeat Pattern
Here's the 3 feathers duplicated into a repeat pattern design. To be used for a serious of soft/ home furnishing products.
Aztec Feather Illustrations
Individual pen and ink illustrations of feathers to be used in a repeat pattern. I always love to use geometric shapes in my illustration and particularly focused on Aztec and Navajo inspired patterns in this series.
Storyboarding for Tracc Films
Another commission for Tracc Films, this time a storyboard for a pitch to luxury escorted tour company, Insight Vacations. This was my first time ever using a Wacom tablet to illustrate. With only 3 evenings to master the technique, I found it extremely challenging as it really tested my hand to eye co-ordination, having to draw on the tablet surface whilst looking at the computer screen. It was hard to translate my natural illustration style into this digital format, but the outcome was successful and fulfilled the brief. Tracc Films also won the pitch, so I'd like to think my storyboard helped that along in some way!
Commissioned illustrations for stacking cups by Shlos
In the autumn of 2012 last year I had the pleasure of working with my friend and product designer Chloe Lee Carson on an idea for her first ever product to go to market. Based on the idea of the game 'Exquisite Corpse', I created a series of 9 different illustrations to be applied to sets of stacking cups. When twisted, the body parts of the various animals and people on each cup would join up to create a new surreal creature.
Shortly after Chloe entered the idea under the design name Shlos into a design competition/mentoring scheme with the Southbank Centre and Observer, eventually becoming one of the finalists. The cups can now been seen and bought in the Southbank shop! It's such an achievement to see my illustrations on products instore.
You see the stacking cups here on the Southbank Centre shop website - https://shop.southbankcentre.co.uk/exquisite-cups-wild-shlos
and on the Shlos website - http://www.shlos.co.uk/

This was part of a 5 part series of illustrations I did for a personal commission last year. Particularly enjoyed this octopus, especially the tentacles...

It's been a while since I last posted anything so I thought I should get back into the swing of things again. Let's kick things off with an illustration of a lizard I did for a commission last year....
