Children's book illustrations

I was asked just before Christmas if I would do some illustrations to accompany a short story a friend had made for her son as a Christmas present. She created the story of her son's teddy bear going off on an adventure after he was lost last summer whilst they holidayed in Greece - to make him feel better about losing him. A sweet story and I loved having a chance to draw in this style, completely different to my usual approach.

Mock-up of The Wallpaper Coloring Book

Here are some mock-up pages of the sample patterns I did for the Wallpaper Colouring Book, complete with collages from artist Gemma Latimer. The eras that I captured in the illustrations covered Arts & Crafts, 1950s and 1970s. For the final set of wallpaper patterns I'll be looking at decades all the way from 1870s right through to modern day, images to come soon!

Wallpaper book designs

I recently was asked to produce repeat pattern illustrations for a wallpaper colouring in book, looking at 3 different era - turn of the century, 1930s and 1960s wallpaper patterns. The eventual book will consist of the wallpaper design where you can try out different colour combinations for yourself and an image of the wallpaper in situ (like a living room) so you can see what it might look like.

Chinese horoscope animals illustration

I produced these illustrations to be used as cards that described what each Chinese sign was and what it meant. They wanted it to be quite fun and lighthearted and would engage someone in learning about the Chinese horoscope.

Tattoo design

A personal commission from a friend, she wanted a design that would translate well into a tattoo. The final design here shows fluttering pages of a book turning into birds taking flight.
